Harsh-Cold-Reality

Local metal band Myopic Destiny were about to launch their debut album so they commissioned me to create the artwork for their album cover.

The band’s main themes revolved about existentialist issues and the futility of suffering so I made sure to reflect this in the artwork. I thought that this could be done by depicting blissfully unaware foetuses attached to a hostile jellyfish in the open sea instead of a nourishing placenta in a loving womb. I presented the idea as a rough sketch and since it was liked a lot by the band I proceeded to create the digital painting.

Digital Painting.
